Manage Employees with These Apps Pt. 2

July 24th, 2013 Posted in Business

BPOBusinesses are just as difficult to start as they are to maintain. When a company starts growing, it eventually has to employ more people and a business owner may have a difficult time keeping track of them all. Here are some more apps that will help any owner or leader to keep track of their team without being militant or invading their space.

Asana

Asana is work software that manages to make the complicated much more manageable. Justin Rosenstein, one of its co-founders, had this to say over at the blog on Asana’s website:

“Keeping groups of people organized is a problem at the heart of every organization. That’s why we’re focused on delivering a real solution with features like full text search, news feeds, per-task walls (comments + feed), infinite undo, version control, advanced sharing and privacy models, a bidirectional email bridge, LDAP integration, offline support, recurring tasks, “remind me later,” task dependencies, mobile, workflows, and visualizations (e.g. an editable Gantt chart view). Unlike heavy-duty enterprise suites we’ve tried, we’re focused on making these features fast, easy, and even enjoyable to use.”

“Asana’s task management app is a content management system for one particular kind of structured data. But we’re building it on a general structured data management platform, which we’ll leverage first to launch more applications, and ultimately to allow users and third-party developers to create custom schemas, workflows, and interfaces, all integrated with a single common data model.”

There really is nothing better than a product created by people who wanted to solve a problem they personally experienced.

Remember The Milk

As its name suggests, this app aids you and your employees in remembering details you may need throughout the day. Their team said that “Managing tasks is generally not a fun way to spend your time. We created Remember The Milk so that you no longer have to write your to-do lists on sticky notes, whiteboards, random scraps of paper, or the back of your hand. Remember The Milk makes managing tasks an enjoyable experience,” and they did this by reminding users through SMS and Instant Messaging.

TribeHR

This app is said to be one of the best apps out there in the area of Human Resources but it still comes at the very low price of a measly $2 per month. This app does seemingly everything you need when it comes to managing employees and according to their website, it can do the following:

  • Simplify and automate much of the drudgery people associate with HR
  • Give employees more control over their relationship with their employer
  • Make HR less about the numbers, and more about the people

Thanks to these apps, leaders and business owners no longer have to find it a burden to make sure that their employees are looked out for.
